With nearly 30,000 horses and ponies scanned globally, this pioneering technique for providing a fast and accurate lameness diagnosis goes from strength to strength.
And the team at Guildford-based Hallmarq MRI are delighted that the UK’s leading rural insurer, NFU Mutual, has recently announced it will cover 100% of the cost for an MRI scan.
This exciting new development will include all new and existing policies, where a horse develops a problem that requires an MRI scan.
“We are delighted that NFU Mutual is now covering the full cost of a standing equine MRI scan: this is a real breakthrough for horse owners who want lameness diagnosed accurately and efficiently,” says Jos Belgrave of Hallmarq.
The Hallmarq Standing Equine MRI has revolutionised the way lameness is diagnosed, particularly in the foot thanks to its ability to visualise both bone and soft tissue injury.
Providing the claim complies with the terms and conditions of the policy, the cost of an MRI examination will now be fully covered for customers with equine insurance from NFU Mutual and many other equine insurers in the UK.
With more than 50 Hallmarq MRI scanners now available worldwide, horse and pony owners recognise the huge benefits such technology brings to lameness diagnosis.
