Midlands-based
Mirrors for Training has seen demand for its new moveable arena mirrors soar
after it unveiled its non-permanent mirrors, mounted on a metal stand.
The
mirrors can be bolted to fencing and moved around to give trainers and riders
the best view to monitor the horse’s movement. This helps make the
all-important training sessions more effective and allows for a faster, better
way to reach the rider’s goals.
No other
company currently provides moveable arena mirrors, and competition yards and
equestrian colleges have been queuing up to get hold of the unique training
aid.
Due to the
fact the mirrors are temporary structures, the need to apply for planning
permission is also removed.
Andrea
Miles, from Mirrors for Training said the new moveable mirrors were outpacing
the company’s expectations, explaining:
“We’re
working very hard to increase the number of units that we can build and supply
per week and we are super-excited by the very strong demand.”
She
claimed the visual benefits of using mirrors for training were limitless,
allowing people to identify in real-time inaccuracies in their performance and
allowing them to make changes immediately before they become habit-forming.
Zoe
Feeney, dressage rider, British dressage judge and FEI steward said the mirrors
had made a huge difference, explaining: “Competing at a level where lateral
work is now important, with movements being set-up properly, executed, balanced
and rhythmical with correct bend had some guess work associated with it. Now I
have the mirrors, I can see and adjust accordingly so much easier, which is
starting to make a huge difference to my horse's way of going and competition
scores.”
Mirrors
for Training have supplied all the major equestrian colleges throughout the UK
and provided arena mirrors to thousands of professional event and dressage
riders.
